High Performance Physiotherapy staff are very experienced in Aquatic Physiotherapy and work closely with your medical specialist in optimising your rehabilitation for a complete recovery.

Aquatic Physiotherapy treatment (individually or in small groups) incorporates individual assessment, to formulate a treatment program appropriate to your needs. Before commencing Aquatic Physiotherapy you will be asked to fill in a patient information sheet.

This allows the physiotherapist to screen you for certain medical conditions that may put you at risk in the warm (34˚C) water.

It also protects you from other people who may have a medical condition. A series of therapeutic exercises individually prescribed in a 1.35m deep pool allows the water to help support your body weight giving greater comfort whilst exercising.

The use of specific equipment allows you to use the resistance of water to strengthen muscles, improve your joint range of motion and function.
